1. England
The European Cup may have eluded England thus far, but pundits have been quick to back The Three Lions ahead of Euro 24. And this makes sense given that they narrowly missed out in 2020, losing to Italy in one of the most controversial finals in the history of the cup.

2. France
Having won the World Cup in 2018, France were pegged to stroll to European victory in 2020. It was a huge shock, then, when Switzerland knocked out Les Bleus on penalties, breaking French hearts and leaving them with plenty of unfinished business ahead of the 2024 campaign.

3. Germany
Germany’s form in all international soccer tournaments has been surprisingly lacklustre of late, with Die Mannschaft placing a subpar 15th at Euro 2020. Of course, we underestimate Germany at our peril, particularly given that, as the host of this year’s event, the side will be buoyed on by a raucous home crowd.

History tells us that the Germans deal well with adversity, with the side having only placed outside the top eight teams on three occasions. They’re also one of the most prolific all-time winners of the Cup, clinching three titles since 1972.

For a country of just four million residents, Croatia punches well above its weight on the international soccer stage, regularly reaching semi-finals at major tournaments like the FIFA World Cup and the European Championship. It’s produced some seriously talented players, too, with Luka Modrić chief among the country’s most famous footballing sons.
So, is Croatia one of our Euro 2024 favourites? It has to be! While Vatreni only attracts outright odds of around 33/1 (33.00 or +3300) on our most trusted soccer betting sites, we think they have the potential to go deep in Germany – so long as group rivals Spain and Italy don’t stand in their way, that is.
10. Denmark
Denmark have made quite the nuisance of themselves in recent soccer tournaments, placing fourth at Euro 2020. Granted, the Danes did have a reasonably easy group and favourable ties in the knockout stages, but there’s no denying that The Red and Whites are the Scandinavian side to watch as things get underway in Germany on 14 June.
