As we prepare for the biggest competition in European international football to get going, bettors and football fans alike are honing their Euro 2024 predictions for this summer. Here, we look at how to find the best Euro 2024 odds.
This is one of the most wide-open Euros in living memory, with maybe half of the 24 teams in attendance having a potential claim to be in contention for the title. By sticking with GameChampions.com and following our guides to the competition, you could be in with a chance of making the smart bets on this fascinating festival of football.
Looking for Euro 2024 odds is not exactly difficult – by the time of the big kick-off, every bookmaker will have pages and pages of odds on the games, players and outright markets that you can bet on. What is more important is finding where the value exists. Bettors and football fans will be looking for the best prices on everything from who will win the tournament, to Euro Player of the Tournament odds and Euro 2024 Golden Boot odds. Ahead of the tournament, it is likely you’ll have a few ideas of your own as to who to back, and you can rest assured that we certainly have some of our own.
The 1966 World Cup remains the sole major trophy to have found its way to England’s shores; and they were the host nation for that one, so they remain without a trophy in tournaments played on foreign soil. This could be their best chance yet. They lead the Euro 2024 odds with most domestic bookmakers, and it’s not without reason. In Jude Bellingham, they have perhaps the standout player in Europe this season. Harry Kane remains an elite striker who can score at any moment, and the likes of Bukayo Saka and Phil Foden are capable of winning a match on their own. All four players are worth looking at in the Euro Player of the Tournament odds.
Didier Deschamps has been at the helm of the French national team since 2012, and it’s not for nothing that he’s had that exceptional longevity for an international manager. France have been in the finals of the last two World Cups, winning one, and contested the Euro 2016 final into the bargain. Kylian Mbappe is perhaps the world’s most complete striker and deserves to lead the Euro 2024 Golden Boot odds. The Real Madrid midfield pairing of Aurelien Tchouameni and Eduardo Camavinga are capable of taking any game by the scruff of the neck, and one of the stingiest defences in international football pulls it all together at the back. If they get going, France will be hard to stop.
The hosts have to be considered in the Euro Cup odds, wherever it is being held, and all the more so considering Germany have a squad capable of putting together a string of results. It’s not the strongest they’ve ever had, though, and perhaps lacks the cutting edge of previous editions. Attacking players including Jamal Musiala and Florian Wirtz are capable of creating opportunities, and late-flowering Dortmund striker Niclas Fullkrug could put the bloom on a successful domestic season with a good showing here, while a defence led by Joshua Kimmich always stands a chance of neutralising any opposition.
If the hosts have to be in the conversation, then so do the holders. Italy are, like Germany, an imperfect side compared with past Azzurri collectives, but there is plenty of individual quality and it would be foolish to write them off. If Luciano Spalletti is to reprise his success at club level with Napoli, he’s likely to rely heavily on his former lieutenants at the Diego Maradona Stadium – striker Giacomo Raspadori and versatile defender Giovanni di Lorenzo. Inter Milan midfielder Nicolo Barella may be the key to success for the holders here, his box-to-box style making him the linchpin of this talented side looking to shake off its failure to even qualify for the 2022 World Cup.
It’s hard to say which version of Spain’s national team is the anomaly: the 2008-2012 vintage, which won everything put in front of it, or the version before and after which has too often flattered to deceive. There is certainly no lack of talent here, although it’s a side which may suffer from the fact that its standout club team Real Madrid is built mostly from French and Brazilian parts. They won’t have any problem getting and keeping the ball, with Rodri and Fabian Ruiz capable of controlling games from midfield. More of a problem may be putting that ball in the net, with main striker Alvaro Morata more of a focal point than a finisher in attack.
It’s no exaggeration to say that we could go on listing teams with a chance of barging in among the Euro betting odds, but brevity demands that we now run a quick digest of the horses which, if not dark, are at least a little shadier than the above. Belgium’s Golden Generation has gone a little more silver since its vertiginous run to the semi-final of the 2018 World Cup, but any side containing Kevyn De Bruyne must be considered a contender. The same is true of Portugal; they won this tournament eight years ago and are blessed with quality, but Father Time has caught up with Cristiano Ronaldo and he is now merely brilliant rather than immortal. The Netherlands have a squad with potential in all areas, as do Croatia, but both sides will need the main contenders to falter if they are to go beyond the semi-finals.
There is value to be found in backing your Euro 2024 predictions, not just in terms of who might win the competition, but in a range of other markets as well. If you have been waiting patiently for the summer showpiece, then your chance to back your hunches is here, and it’s worth considering where you might find the ideal bet.
Scanning the Euro Championship odds, you may find markets for the best player at the tournament, and this is a market that is rich with potential winners. We’ve already mentioned a number of the best players on show at this tournament; Jude Bellingham, Kylian Mbappe and Kevyn de Bruyne are all potential winners of this coveted title. It’s most likely that the winner of this garland will come from one of the contenders listed above, but a strong run from an outsider could see the likes of Slovenia’s Benjamin Sesko, Sweden’s Alexander Isak, or Denmark’s Rasmus Hojlund enter contention.
If you’re making Euro 2024 predictions, then you probably have some idea of who’s likely to be scoring the goals that make them come true. We’ve named most of the likely contenders above, in all honesty, but there are others who could easily enter the conversation. Netherlands forward Memphis Depay has a great scoring record at international level and could accumulate plenty of goals if the Dutch progress into the latter stages. The same is true of Czechia’s Patrik Schick, who shared the title with Cristiano Ronaldo last time out. It’s worth bearing in mind that a player could achieve top scorer status by scoring a hatful in one game, so look out for mismatches like Spain vs Albania or Portugal vs Georgia.
There is no official Euro 2024 best goalkeeper award, but there may well be markets for achievements like most clean sheets and fewest goals conceded. Look out for Euro Championship odds that highlight the best ‘keepers in the tournament. If your Euro 2024 predictions include hunches about the men between the sticks, then consider that Belgium’s Thibaut Courtois is in a group with the goal-shy Slovakia, Ukraine and Romania, so might well feel good about his chances of not conceding at all in the first three games of the tournament.
As well as potential winners of the tournament outright, some of the most popular Euro 2024 odds include the chance to bet on head-to-head matchups. Weighty clashes such as Spain vs Italy and France vs Netherlands will grab a lot of attention, as well as big showdowns once we get into the knockout stages. You may also want to back your confidence with a correct score bet in one of the games that pits a tournament favourite against a long-odds outsider – such as Portugal vs Georgia or Belgium against Romania. Bear in mind, though, that a correct score bet can look great for 89 minutes until a complacent winning team switches off and concedes a late consolation. Even the best Euro betting tips can’t account for sloppy errors.
If you’ve got a hunch you’re confident in, then Euro 2024 odds likely exist that will allow you to back that expectation with a bet. You can put some money behind your Euro 2024 predictions, or you might be better served by looking for bonus offers that may allow you to bet without risking your own cash. This can be a particularly beneficial way of putting a bet on a more esoteric market, because while you certainly want even a bonus bet to be a winner, you might feel more comfortable using real money to bet on more stable predictions.
As we’ve pointed out, there are plenty of Euro Championship odds on markets other than the standard 1×2 bet on the result of a match, or on the outright winner of the tournament. While it is usually not hugely difficult to predict the winner of a single match, this fact is reflected in the odds you’ll get on such markets. Using a bonus bet to predict that England will beat Slovenia may lock in some winnings, but it’s such a one-sided bet that you’re unlikely to make much of a profit. It can be much more beneficial to look for longer Euro 2024 odds, which tend to come on braver predictions such as the correct score in a match, or the first goalscorer.
All of the above is not to say that you should swing for the fences when making a bet with a bonus credit from one of the bookmakers here on GameChampions.com. Just because it’s bonus money, that doesn’t mean it’s a good idea to back Georgia to win because their Euro 2024 odds are extremely high. The bet still needs to win, but if you have an inkling that the bookies have given an overly generous price on an outcome you believe is realistic, this is the ideal time to back your Euro 2024 predictions with a bonus bet.
Euro 2024 will offer no shortage of odds for you to test your mettle this summer. Keep tuned to GameChampions.com and you can be sure you’ll have the best guidance, helping you make the smartest bets on all the footballing action!
There are all the usual markets you’d expect when it comes to betting on Euro 2024 odds, such as the outright winner and individual match odds, otherwise known as 1×2 betting. There are also additional markets including group winners, Golden Boot odds and potentially even more esoteric odds relating to individual performance such as best goalkeeper odds. There is plenty of variety in Euro odds, and if you have a hunch on a certain outcome, there is a good chance you’ll find it at one of the bookmakers at GameChampions.com/
The best European Championship odds will vary from bookmaker to bookmaker, but it is worth checking GameChampions ahead of the tournament and individual games to see what our experts say on the situation. Our betting correspondents will check multiple bookmakers to make sure they are giving the best possible odds for potential Euro 2024 betting offers. It’s also worth pointing out that we have reviews on the best bookmakers, which will include an analysis of the generosity or otherwise of their odds.
Bear in mind that a player who isn’t playing can’t score goals. So this is one tournament that Erling Haaland can’t score the most goals in, given that Norway haven’t qualified. More seriously, a fine goalscoring threat such as Robert Lewandowski might look like a good bet when you see the Euro Championship odds, but if the group fixtures go as expected, Poland may be on their way home after the first three games. So consider players who are on teams likely to go a long way in the tournament. If you’re not happy with the Euro betting odds on Harry Kane or Kylian Mbappe, it might be worth looking at Giacomo Raspadori or Spain’s Dani Olmo.
