Welcome to my highly requested Underdog review where I take you through the ins and outs of this unique Brooklyn-based gaming company. For US-based fantasy football fans, this brand has become the go-to fantasy sports betting platform.
With popular Daily Fantasy Sports games like Pick’em, and Best Ball and features like Rivals Matchup, the site has secured a spot in the Fantasy Sports Hall of Fame. The user interface is very smooth and I have had an overwhelmingly positive experience on the site so far. So join me as I review this platform below.

When I started my Underdog review, the first thing I noticed was their generous welcome offer for newcomers on the platform. Players signing up for the first time on Underdog, making a $5 deposit, and playing $5 will receive $75 in Fantasy Bonus Entries.
To claim the welcome offer, all you have to do is sign up on the Underdog site and make your first deposit of $5. Once you make your deposit, you will be awarded $75 in Fantasy Bonus Entries. I verified that the offer is currently active and is pretty straightforward to claim. You can also check out the Underdog bonus review for more details on this bonus.
You must be 18 or older to play (19+ in AL and NE; 19+ in CO for certain games; 21+ in AZ, MA, and VA), and located in a state where Underdog is available. Terms and conditions apply. This promotion is not available in MD, MI, NJ, OH, NY, and PA.
Concerned with your play? Call 1-800-MY-RESET or visit www.ncpgambling.org; NY: Call the 24/7 HOPEline at 1-877-8-HOPENY or Text HOPENY (467369).
Also note that you do not need an Underdog promo code to claim this bonus, since it is open to all new players on the site.
During my Underdog review, I checked out their sign-up process and found it pretty simple and easy. I have detailed how you can sign up and start taking advantage of the site in the steps below.
If you want to sign up on your phone, you have to download the Underdog app from the App Store or the Google Play Store. Or you can simply hit the Sign Up button on the brand’s website home page.
You have to create a username for your account and if you are feeling tempted to use an inappropriate one, let me remind you that your username is publicly viewable. Now, the decision is yours!
Finally, input your email, and birth date and create a password to complete the registration process.
In my experience, some of the best DFS betting sites are those that can offer their users a very smooth and pleasant user experience. Doesn’t matter how good their bonuses are; if their website is clunky and navigation is slow, users will not be willing to come back to that DFS betting site.
Fortunately, my Underdog Review found the opposite. The brand has a very sophisticated website design with a strong and unique brand identity. I love the bold box callouts for different games and if you like the black and yellow combination as much as I do, then you will love their site design.
Now listen, I am a major dog lover so I am a little biased about the site’s use of a dog in their logo. Full marks for that! Besides that, I found that the games are all well-organized and the navigation is agile and responsive. You will be able to find exactly what you are looking for pretty quickly and seamlessly.
As you might have guessed from the title, Underdog is based out of Brooklyn, NY and they claim that pretty proudly. I mean hey, I get it. If I was from Brooklyn too, I would make it my whole personality. The company was founded in 2020 during the pandemic era by Trevor John and Brandon Stakenborg. Since then, it has emerged as a prominent competitor to FanDuel fantasy sports and other similar DFS betting sites.
In the DFS betting site market, reputation is everything. This is why I wanted to highlight the market reputation of the brand in my Underdog review. Well, I am happy to report that the brand is really putting their money where their mouth is. Word on the street is that the brand is secure, makes good on its bonuses and other rewards, and is overall a reliable and good DFS betting site that players can trust.
I looked through other non-sponsored expert reviews and player reviews to arrive at this conclusion so you can trust me on this. Besides that, I also didn’t find any red flags or excessively negative player reviews about the site during my review. All of this confirms that the site has a good market reputation and you can play there with confidence.
I have very high standards when it comes to rating player experience on any online betting site since it is personally very important to me. I will never log back into my player account on a site if I have an unpleasant experience there. A clunky interface, glitchy site, and slow load times are my absolute worst nightmares and I usually will not tolerate them, no matter how good the bonuses are.
My experience with Underdog is quite comparable to my DraftKings daily fantasy sports betting experience. While the latter has been around for a long time, the former is only a few years old, though. Underdog offers a seamless player experience both on the desktop version and the app. The login is a one-step process, the navigation is pretty intuitive, and I had no issues finding exactly what I wanted when I wanted it.
Yes, not only does Underdog have a mobile app, but they have a GREAT mobile app. I have been in the industry for too long and have seen all kinds of terrible apps. Often online betting sites do not invest enough resources into making their apps look and function well, which I think is a very bad business decision.
In my experience as a player who likes to play on my phone, a good mobile app is key to ensuring I will keep coming back to the site. Underdog is undoubtedly one of the best DFS betting apps I have played on. The app interface is very intuitive and I can see that the brand has invested resources to make the app look and feel like a top-notch gaming app.
You can download the app on either the App Store or Google Play Store, which is great since it is available for both iOS and Android users. Side note: the app has a 4.8 rating on the App Store and over 58K reviews, which is a further testament to its popularity.
I feel like this was the only thing about the brand that I was slightly disappointed about. In life, I like options, as I am sure you do too. However, I found the deposit and withdrawal methods on the site to be slightly limited for my taste. Especially because I usually find a much wider selection on other Fantasy Football and
Fantasy hockey betting sites
alike.
So the first option to deposit and withdraw is by using your Debit/Credit Card. You can use Visa, Mastercard, Discover, or American Express for all your Underdog deposits.
The other option available to bettors is PayPal, which many bettors do have so I feel like it’s still a fairly inclusive payment method.

There is nothing I hate more than being stuck on a chatbot, talking to a robot, that understands nothing that I am saying. So I was really glad to see that you can talk to actual humans if you ever need support at Underdog.
The brand has multiple support channels which is always a green flag for me. You can either email them at support@underdogfantasy.com, call the phone number +1 917-267-2182 to talk to someone in real-time, fill out a web form and request a callback, or simply tweet at them if they are not being responsive.
In my experience, the phone number is a bit of a hit or miss depending on when you are calling but they are super responsive over email.
There is a very complicated licensing process that DFS betting sites have to go through in the United States. So I was not surprised to see that the site is available in only about 18 states as of now.
However, you can find a very helpful interactive map on the Underdog site where you can see which of their games is available in which states. I highly recommend checking if the game you want to play is available in your state before you proceed to sign up and make a deposit.
As much as I would like Underdog to have international fame, it hasn’t gotten there yet, much like US football (but don’t tell them I said that). So for now, you can only play on the site if you are a resident of the 18 states in the United States where the site is available and most Canadian provinces, except Ontario. Once again, check the map on their homepage to find out which game is available and where.
Unlike some of the other DFS betting sites, Underdog doesn’t have a fully built-out loyalty program or VIP program. However, they do incentivize customer referrals by rewarding players with $10 in site credit if they can bring a new user onto the platform who deposits at least $10 and plays a game at least once. In my opinion, this site could do more, but I am hoping that as and when they grow, they will offer better loyalty program options.
I found the Underdog site to be extremely user-friendly and intuitive. Players can easily draw their picks and all the rules are mentioned in clear, concise language. The app also has a very streamlined interface and you can quickly understand how it all works without having to read through several support articles.
That’s right, there is an incredible $15M Prize Pool on the Underdog site and the site claims to be home to the biggest and most rewarding fantasy contests that you can find on the internet. The prize pool is considerable but what makes me like it even more is that the rules and eligibility criteria surrounding it are very transparent.
There is a very large and active Discord community forum where you can ask all sorts of questions. Besides Discord, the brand also has a Twitter account which you can engage with if you want to. There is a strong sense of community, which is always a bonus.
Overall, Underdog is a major hit for me. The site is very user-friendly, has a fantastic mobile app, and has some of the biggest and most rewarding tournaments, organized routinely. That means you can sign up on the site to participate in some of the biggest fantasy draws on the internet.
Underdog is available in several states in the United States and most Canadian provinces except Ontario. You can find the full list of which games are available in which States on the Underdog website.
Yes, there is a ‘Play $5, Get $75 in Fantasy Bonus Entries’ for all new players who sign up on the site and make their first deposit. There are no additional playthrough requirements to claim the bonus. Simply sign up and make your deposit.
Underdog is a licensed DFS betting site that you can trust. You simply need to verify if the game that you want to play is available in your state or not.
In my opinion, Underdog is one of the premier DFS betting sites and has already established a name for itself in only a few years. What sets the site apart is the young, hip, and intuitive site design, which gives a dynamic user experience that keeps bringing back players.
The ‘Play $5, Get $75 in Fantasy Bonus Entries’ welcome offer surely does help and acts as a great incentive for new players. The site has done a great job in terms of being transparent about its licensing, and you can easily verify if your choice of game is available in your state.
