Introducing sites like Kickr and Thrillzz – what are social sportsbooks, and how do they work?
If you haven’t previously used Kickr or any other sites or apps like it, here’s the drill. At Kickr, real money betting
isn’t permitted. It’s a social sportsbook that offers all the action of a conventional “real money” betting site, minus the real money part.
Put simply, sites like Kickr, Thrillzz and Legendz have adopted a two tier virtual currency system instead, which means that:
- You’ll place bets by using two different virtual currencies – one exists purely for entertainment (which is called “Bits” at Kickr), and the other is working in a similar way to Kickr Coins, which can be redeemed for real world prizes (known as “Bucks” at Kickr).
- There’s no upfront purchase requirement to sign up and bet – multiple free to claim bonuses are offered.
- They are generally much more widely available across the US than their “real money” counterparts.
Now, Kickr itself is a hoot. It offers great NFL and NBA odds and even a small handful of Vegas inspired, Bits and Bucks powered casino games. Kickr is safe, and offers decent customer support, too.
But as I said before, this is not the only brand in the sweepstakes business, and there are some truly awesome alternatives out there. So, you might want to look around a bit if you’re serious about finding that perfect social betting experience.
Are there any Kickr sister sites?
There can be quite a few reasons you might want to look for social betting sites other than Kickr. The brand’s only available in 34
Kickr legal states
right now, for example, and doesn’t offer live chat support or an app.
In situations like these, your first port of call is gonna be Kickr sister sites, right? But I’m sorry to have to tell you that at the time of writing, Kickr Games Pty Limited, the New Hampshire based company behind the site,
doesn’t
run any other social betting hubs right now.
This means that if you’re looking for a similar experience, you’re going to have to look elsewhere, at:
- Kickr alternatives run by other gaming giants
- Sites like Thrillzz, Rebet, SportsMillions and Legendz
- Other reputable, trusted social sportsbooks that are legally available where you live

A closer look at my four favorite Kickr alternatives
Decisions, decisions, right? As you can see, all my favorite Kickr style social sportsbooks offer access to popular betting markets, solid bonuses and quirky and interesting features that, at a more individual level, really set them apart from one another.
But which is best for you? Well, my mini reviews below can help you figure that one out for yourself.
And once you’ve made up your mind, you can register with any of the sites reviewed here and grab a bonus today using my banner links on this page.
Thrillzz – best all-rounder
Rebet – best for unique social betting features
Rebet: Pros & Cons
- User-friendly app
- Social sportsbook and free-to-play casino games
- Generous welcome deal
- Suitable for beginners and more experienced players
Rebet’s welcome bonus
is not quite
as big and juicy as Thrillzz’ latest offer, but on top of the free 100 Rebet Coins (Gold Coins) and 1 Rebet Cash (Sweeps Coins) you’ll get here, there’s a generous and optional first purchase bonus available:
- 100 Rebet Coins on your first purchase, plus 100 free Rebet Cash.
What’s more, Rebet is something of an innovator when it comes to social betting options. It’s one of the few apps like Kickr on this list that offers peer to peer betting tools for example, that allow you to challenge your friends directly over their sports picks and predictions.
On top of that, bettors get to enjoy:
- Unique player props.
- The brand’s flagship “Rebet” feature – which allows you to copy and repeat your friends’ wagers.
- Simplified betting lines – which are great for beginner social bettors.
The app also features an impressive range of more than 60 different sports markets in total, covering classic major leagues like the NHL and NBA, to smaller, collegiate sports.
SportsMillions – best for social bettors who also like gaming
Pros & Cons of SportsMillions Sweepstakes Casino
- 800+ social casino games
- Premium game developers
- Unique sports pick mode
- Daily login bonus available
SportsMillions is not your regular social sportsbook. Naturally, the site
does
cover NBA, MLB and other mainstream sports that you can make predictions on, but it’s rather unique “Blitz ‘em” game arguably has more in common with daily fantasy sports (DFS). And there’s a lot more for you to get into here, game wise, too.
You see, much like how Kickr offers around 80 Vegas inspired casino games on top of its social sportsbook, SportsMillions also doubles up as a sweepstakes casino, too – though this site offers
more than 800
different Vegas style slots, many of which are backed by big name software houses like:
This means that unlike at other sites like Kickr named on today’s list, you’ll have the option of playing Sportsmillions’ 1,000 GC and 3 SC sign up bonus
either
as social sportsbook bets, or as sweepstakes casino plays. Later, you can claim daily reloads, too, which are worth up to 200 GC and 0.25 free SC daily.
Legendz – best for niche market social betting
Legendz: Pros & Cons
- Intuitive site design
- Generous welcome bonus
- Huge selection of high-quality games
- Lacks a live chat feature
Covering a surprisingly extensive range of smaller betting markets, Legendz is a great pick if you’re into options like darts, curling or other niche sports rather than the more classic picks like NFL and NBA odds – though those latter two betting markets
are
actually up for grabs here as well.
Oh, and just like Sportsmillions, right here we have another brand that bundles together social betting and sweepstakes casino functionality into one, neatly designed app. This means those of you based in 43 permitted states will be able to enjoy:
- 30+ social betting markets.
- 240+ slots style games.
- A few table and live dealer offerings.
If you live in Idaho, Michigan, Nebraska, Nevada, North Dakota, Ohio or Washington, the site is sadly off limits at the time of writing, but elsewhere, this is an awesome place to play – particularly if niche sports or eye-popping slots are up your alley.
Conclusion – try out one of these apps like Kickr today for hours of social betting fun
Apps like Kickr are seemingly all around, but in my experience, some stand head and shoulders above others – and the ones most worth checking out are almost always those that offer exceptional sports market coverage, a great variety of promotions, and exciting social betting options. And of course, if the site just so happens to double up as a sweepstakes casino or free-to-play DFS platform, that’s an added bonus. However, before signing up, it’s important to check the
Kickr age
requirement to ensure you’re eligible to play.
Understanding how
Kickr withdrawal
works is crucial if you plan on redeeming any prizes. Right now, I’d say Thrillzz is probably the best Kickr alternative out there, on account of its fantastic new and existing customer bonuses. That said, Rebet’s unmissable if you’re into weird and wonderful social betting options, while SportsMillions and Legendz are well worth a look if you want to split your time between virtual currency-based betting and sweepstakes casino gaming.

Sites like Kickr FAQ
🤔 What are the pros and cons of playing with Kickr?
Kickr’s a trusted app with excellent social betting market coverage, but it’s only available in 34 different states right now, and doesn’t offer the niche social betting options of Rebet, or the much more extensive sweepstakes casino game coverage of Sportsmillions and Legendz.
🏆 Which site like Kickr has the best bonus?
Offering 3,000 Thrillzz Coins and 3 Thrillzz Sweeps straight off the bat, followed by 100% extra Gold Coins on your first optional Thrillzz Coins bundle purchase, I’d definitely go with Thrillzz here. However, Sportsmillions is certainly not lagging too far behind.
📱 Which apps like Kickr are best?
Thrillzz and Rebet are two app-only social betting operators that are well worth checking out if you like Kickr, but want to play from a smartphone or tablet.
