How do social sportsbooks like Thrillzz work?
If you are new around here, it’s a good idea to learn how these sites operate. So, if you’re wondering, “How do
Thrillzz Coins
work?” we have all the details you need. As these sportsbooks follow the sweepstakes model, you will place social wagers using virtual currencies such as Gold Coins and Sweeps Coins. While these virtual currencies may be renamed, they have the same functions.
Gold Coins (GC) will let you place social bets on your favorite sports for fun. These virtual currencies don’t have any real monetary value, so they cannot be redeemed, withdrawn, or transferred. You can collect free GCs via promotions or purchase an optional GC bundle if you want to boost your GC balance.
On the other hand, Sweeps Coins (SC) grants you access to promotional sweepstakes betting. This gives you the chance to collect free SCs that can be later exchanged for real-world prizes. You cannot purchase SC packages, so you can only unlock them for free.
Are social sports betting sites legal in the US?
Yes, of course they are! While some US states don’t allow social sports betting, they are widely available. If you are unsure of the legality of your favorite sites, make sure to clarify this first. You can usually find the list of legal states within the T&Cs or in the FAQs on your chosen social sportsbook.
These sites are so widely available because they don’t offer any real money gambling. So, if you ever find yourself asking, “Is Thrillzz a real money sportsbook?” just know that it’s completely off the table – which is the primary reason why the site is legal in many states.

Can you redeem prizes on social sportsbooks?
As these social sports betting sites operate based on the sweepstakes model, you can take advantage of the prize redemption possibilities. You can accumulate Sweeps Coins so that you can later exchange them for prizes such as cash and gift cards.
But there will be a few requirements to adhere to if you want to qualify for a prize, for example, being located in
Thrillzz legal states:
| Playthrough requirement | You will usually have to play through your SCs or bet them a certain amount of times before they are redeemable |
| Minimum SC redemption | This tells you the minimum redemption amount, such as 50 SCs |
| Minimum age requirement | Most social sportsbooks require you to be 18+ years old but make sure to clarify your state’s age of consent as this may be higher |
| Eligible state | You will be required to confirm you are a resident of a permitted state |
Your guide to finding the best social sportsbooks
When it comes to joining the best social sports betting sites, there is a lot to consider. For the most part, it all comes down to your personal preference, but there are a few other things to consider, too.
Here’s a quick guide to help you search for your perfect social sports betting site:
Just because social sports betting is available in your state, that doesn’t mean your chosen site operates in your area. Be sure to clarify this before you create an account.
As you are joining to participate in fun sports picks, you should focus your attention on whether or not the sports coverage is for you. Check the list for your favorite sports to avoid disappointment.
As social sports betting sites are free, you will need a good amount of promotions to keep you in the game. Make sure to check the list of promotions, so you know there’s plenty of free virtual currencies to claim.
