The Fliff app is on its way to becoming one of the biggest sweepstakes sportsbook apps on the market, with a 4.8 star rating on the App Store and a 4.7 star on Google Play. I wanted to see what all the fuss was about and decided to download it myself to give you my opinion.
Today, I’ll run you through all the features I’ve found, how easy it was to navigate the app (because it’s only available in app form!) and how much fun I had when I was there.
So is Fliff legal, and how does the app work? Let’s find out
Established in 2019, the idea behind Fliff is that the creators wanted a platform where instead of just shooting a text to your friend to discuss who you thought would win the next football game, you could open up Fliff and make your prediction there, where your friends could see and make their own predictions. You can then back your friend’s prophecy, or compete against them. It’s currently only available via an app.
The best part is that you can play and make your predictions at Fliff completely free. As long as you are over 18 and residing in any US states besides Washington, you just need to download the app, register and get your free coins to get started.
If you’re only used to a more traditional setting, delving into the world of sweepstakes can be a little daunting at first. How does it work?Well fear not, I am now a bit of a veteran and can reveal all… And if you’re still confused, check out this Fliff Social Casino article.
Unlike a normal (or shall we say, traditional) casino or sportsbook, sites operating under a sweepstakes model don’t take a normal payment in exchange for their goods, be that playing a casino-style game, or making a prediction on the outcome of a basketball match. You cannot deposit and play.
Instead, they use two forms of virtual currency, one of which is just for fun and the other you can use to exchange for real world prizes.
As Fliff is a social sportsbook, they have to offer a free-to-play option for all its users, which is great news for us.
When first signing up to the app I had a look around and found the following promotions and bonuses:
Fliff is constantly updating their promotions, and they have daily challenges for you to earn XP when you complete them. I liked this feature as it felt like I was playing a game within my sportsbook as well!
Good news everyone, whether you’re an iPhone or an Android user (no fights over which is better please), the Fliff app is available on both. Simply head to the website or to the Google Play/App Store and hit download.
Requirements:
Android | iPhone | iPod Touch | Mac | Apple Vision |
7.0 and up | iOS 13.4 or later | iOS 13.4 or later | macOS 11.0 or later and a Mac with an Apple M1 chip or later | visionOS 1.0 or later |
The Fliff app was really easy to download, easy to use and had a lot of features I enjoyed. I had no lag or performance issues whilst using it and it was really easy to navigate. Switching between using Fliff Cash and Fliff Coins was simple enough and the ability to collaborate with friends is an interesting concept. Overall, I found the app enjoyable and look forward to making more sports predictions (I’m determined to get more predictions right than my dad!).
Not quite. Although you can purchase Fliff Coin packages, you cannot directly deposit and then use that money to make your predictions. Fliff is a sweepstakes sportsbook, which means you must use their virtual currency to play. You can check out our review and find out Where Is Fliff Legal here at GameChampions.com.
Unfortunately, as it stands, XP can only be exchanged for Fliff Coins, not Cash. However, those Fliff Coin packages come with an added bonus of having Fliff Cash freebies… So, in a way, yes!
Fliff is a sweepstakes platform, it has to offer free to play options to its users. You can input your referral code when you sign up, however, without a purchase, you won’t reap the benefits of that referral.
