Here’s what you must know about XP points at GOATbox
When I accessed my new profile at GOATbox, I noticed they called me a Virtual Knight. This name appeared above a bar that confirmed I was at Level 1 with zero XP points.
You can only receive XPs when you purchase credits to use at GOATbox. In doing so, you will gradually reach higher levels and potentially get daily free mystery boxes and other rewards. They’ve kept other details under wraps, so just keep an eye on your XP points and the level you’re currently at.
Is GOATbox user friendly?
I found that I could look around before opening an account, to get a sense of what GOATbox might offer. It’s nice checking out the mystery boxes and categories before signing up. I got a good idea of how it all worked upfront.
Do you need to download a mobile app?
No – GOATbox doesn’t appear to have any apps, and I had no issues visiting on the range of mobile devices I tested it on either. This keeps things simple as you just need to visit, log in (once you’ve got your account set up and sorted), and start browsing their mystery boxes.

Who owns and runs GOATbox?
The copyright notice confirms that Secret Services Limited is behind the GOATbox website. You’ll also see a tiny 18+ logo there, although I would say that’s a minimum age requirement. Make sure you’re old enough to join the site in your location, just in case you’re required to reach a higher age.
To be clear, GOATbox has no official licensing information since mystery box websites do not need any license to go live and provide their services online just now.

GOATbox caters for plenty of interests, so you’re likely to find something you like there. Having spent some time looking around, here’s what I can tell you about their mystery boxes.
How to sort the mystery boxes
I sorted from low to high credit prices, but you can sort to show the newest boxes first if you like. It’s quick to sort them too – it takes a fraction of a second to display your options, which confirms how quick the GOATbox website is.
You will then see a square panel showcasing the available contents a particular mystery box might have. Remember that even if you see several items in that image, you will only ever receive one upon opening a box.

You can click on any box and see what could be inside before you buy it using credits. Remember that you could get credits – and if so, you may get less than the number of credits you bought the box with.
I had a look at the Pixel Gamer box. This had a range of 21 items that could potentially be inside. GOATbox gave a 49.7417% chance of receiving a blue GOATbox voucher for $0.02. The voucher price always converts to the same amount in credits – so in this case, I’d get 0.02 credits from that. The top prize was a PlayStation 5 Pro 2TB, but there was a miniscule 0.0001% chance of getting that, as you might expect.
Choose your intensity level
This works by using a simple slider that offers four possibilities:
This works much as you’d expect. The green level tends to have lower-value items that could potentially be in the box at GOATbox. Strangely, the intensity doesn’t relate to the cost of a box though. The biggest high intensity mystery box required 10.46 credits, whereas the biggest low intensity box required a far higher credit amount of 113.99.
That said, you can always review the list of items that may be in an individual mystery box from GOATbox, and consider the cost of getting that box against what you may receive in return.
What can you do with mystery box contents at GOATbox?
If you land a physical item and you’d like to receive it, you can claim the item from your inventory. Make sure you correctly fill in your name and address details to receive it. Note that you’ll need to pay for any customs or shipping charges where applicable. If sizing or similar aspects are required, GOATbox will be in touch with you about those before fulfilling your item.
Alternatively, you can hang onto it or sell it back to GOATbox to receive some credits. You can see how many credits you’ll get per item before deciding what to do. I got some blue vouchers I sold back for 0.02 each, and a gold voucher for 0.44 credits.

Purchase options at GOATbox
When you’re logged in, you will see a green disc with a dollar sign inside it at the top of the site. This shows you how many credits you’ve got in your account. You can use these credits to buy different mystery boxes. You can also get more credits by selling anything you find inside your mystery boxes – you’ll see how many credits you would get from each item before you do this.
Clicking on that green disc at the top of the page will reveal the GOATbox credit shop. You’ll find a welcome offer there, along with a half dozen different credit packages priced from $14.99 to $249.99.
You’ll spot the Visa and Mastercard logos at the bottom of the shop popup, but you can also complete a purchase using Google Pay or Apple Pay if you’re using a relevant smartphone and you find that it’s easier that way.
How helpful is the GOATbox team?
They’ve put together a useful website that is reasonably easy to browse, with questions and answers featuring in the FAQ area. You can read more about the customer service aspect below.

While there’s no separate help center to check out, you can reach the FAQ area from the menu – hidden behind the three horizontal lines in the top left of the GOATbox website. Most of the questions I had as a newcomer were answered there, particularly regarding physical items and the credits used there. Note that you can expand the section to see more Q&As too.
Reaching the customer service team
It looks like there’s only one way to do this, and that’s via email. You’ll find the support email address at the very bottom of the FAQ section. It’d be nice to get a live chat facility at the very least, if not a phone number. Live chat would be better since it would suit GOATbox users in different locations.
I tried using the email address and heard back pretty quickly, but live chat would likely be quicker and more convenient for many. Hopefully, GOATbox will add that in future.
