Read for exciting social poker action featuring Texas Hold’Em and Omaha rules? If so, you’ll love my PlaySopo review. I’ve tested and played at this social poker site extensively for your benefit.
During that time, I’ve played the social poker games (with mixed success!), claimed the various Gold and XP promotions, and witnessed exactly what this app has to offer. In the below guide, I’ve compiled my findings so that you can easily see if you want to give this social poker app a try.

For this PlaySopo review I’ll provide a quick overview of the welcome bonus and other PlaySopo casino bonus, but we have a complete PlaySopo bonus code review which gives all the details. Bonuses available at PlaySopo include:
For my PlaySopo ratings I had to mark it down for the website. This is because PlaySopo is primarily a mobile app. They have clearly put more effort into the mobile app and because of this the website isn’t great. You can play social poker via the website, but it has hardly any of the features that the smartphone app has.
For example, when I logged into my account via the website, I couldn’t see my Gold or XP balance. The quick play option was also more convoluted – you can’t simply join a random game – instead, you have to have a join link to a game lobby. You can create your own social poker game lobbies though which is relatively easy.
I like the social section of the Playsopo website though as this has some cool poker news articles and a heap of videos where you can watch poker gameplay from professionals.
Other PlaySopo reviews don’t really do the app justice but I think it’s one of the best features of PlaySopo. The mobile app is available to install from the website, or you can find it on the Google Play Store and App Store for Android or iOS devices. I downloaded it via the Google Play Store and tested it on my Samsung Galaxy phone.
The design is fantastic and I like the simplistic layout – you shouldn’t have any issue claiming your bonus Gold and XP, or finding the different game lobbies. I also like that the first time you login to the app, you get a tutorial that shows you how the various features work – it takes a few seconds and shows you where things like the rewards and game lobbies are.
PlaySopo ratings also speak about the social poker experience and I loved playing the games on my mobile. The loading times are quick, and there is a chat feature so you can speak to players in your social poker room, or in the general lobby. There are also sound effects and the card animations are smooth. If you don’t have any experience playing social poker, you might find the gameplay confusing, but anyone who’s played social poker before will get to grips with the layout and features instantly.
Once you’ve completed your PlaySopo social casino login you have the option to purchase Gold. I want to reiterate that this is not necessary to enjoy social poker, but it can be a nice boost and I treated myself while making this PlaySopo review and even my Playnomic review. Gold packages start from $0.99 and you can purchase them using your linked Google Play Store or App Store financial details.
For example, I downloaded the app via the Google Play Store and thus my purchases were completed using my linked Visa debit card. The purchase process was incredibly smooth and I found it no different than microtransactions in mobile games that I’ve played. XP is also redeemable for cash prizes but you must have a minimum balance of 5,000 XP.
Is PlaySopo reliable? Yes, but the customer support definitely needs improving. I used the PlaySopo sweepstakes casino mobile app extensively and couldn’t find any support options. There is no live chat, and not even email support. This means that for support, you have to use the website. This is something that needs improving – even a link to the email support ticket system would be a start.
So, what support does the website offer? Only email support. If you click on the “Contact” link in the main navigation it opens the email request form. You have to enter your name, email address (that you registered your account with), subject, and details. I did this a couple of times to get help with the XP redemptions and I got a reply both times within an hour.
The lack of in-app support is a big flaw as some people might not think to open the mobile browser or desktop browser version to get help and thus miss out.
PlaySopo has no gambling license – this doesn’t mean a Playsopo scam though – the site doesn’t need one as it’s a social poker website and app. I checked for compliance with US sweepstakes regulations and PlaySopo always offers free Gold and thus complies with the no purchase necessary caveat.
For security, payments, and fairness, PlaySopo is actually certified/partnered with four different organizations. GLI and CFG for game testing and fairness, DWOLLA for secure US payments, and PLAID for payment accessibility and account connectivity. At the time of writing this PlaySopo review I also found a valid SSL certificate and saw that SSL encryption is used for data transfers to protect you from fraud.

A disappointing aspect of PlaySopo reviews is the lack of any type of VIP club or loyalty scheme. I trawled through the PlaySopo app and website and spent ages trying to find one, but I returned a blank. This is made up for somewhat by the fantastic range of Gold and XP bonuses though.
Yes! PlaySopo complies with the “no purchase necessary” regulation for US sweepstakes sites by offering a daily login bonus and a constant supply of Gold for social poker gameplay. Plus, players who are looking to take advantage of the PlaySopo casino no deposit bonus, which gives new players a chance to start enjoying the game without any initial deposit.
Yes. PlaySopo is certified by several third-party organizations for fairness and payment security. It also uses SSL encryption for data transferals and has a valid SSL certificate.
PlaySopo is a social poker app. US players can create an account and use the virtual currency – Gold, to join in epic social poker matches including Texas Hold’Em and Omaha.
Yes. PlaySopo has payment protection, an extensive privacy policy and terms of use, and protects US players with SSL encryption.
PlaySopo is exclusively a social poker app. Currently, 4 game types are available – Texas Hold’Em, Omaha, Omaha 5, and Jackpot Poker.
I had a blast compiling my PlaySopo ratings and found few negatives about this social poker app. The areas of improvement include the lack of in-app support, and the poor utility of the desktop website compared to the app. Otherwise, PlaySopo is amazing for social poker enthusiasts and the gameplay is one of the biggest positives. I always found active tables and there was a decent standard of competition. I also thought the supply of Gold and XP was excellent, especially the video bonus and the daily XP missions. If you want to get started at PlaySopo, I highly recommend downloading the app first!

PlaySopo is for social poker only – I couldn’t find any regular sweepstakes casino-style games. There are currently 4 poker games available:
For every game variant, the minimum buy-in to join the table is 500 Gold. I found that the minimum blind limit is 2 Gold, but oftentimes I was playing with much more than this! If you are new to social poker then I recommend starting with Texas Hold’Em as this is considered the “classic” variant with standard rules and hand combinations.
The controls are easy to understand and you can pre-select your decision for the next round of picks if you wish, although I recommend against this as experienced players might use this against you for their strategies. There is also an in-game chat feature – you can talk to players at your table, or use the global chat.
I found the gameplay to be fantastic and I never had any issues with waiting for players or struggling to find tables to join. Whenever I tried one of the 4 social poker games, I got connected to an active game immediately. I never experienced any connection issues either or lag.
The virtual currencies at PlaySopo are Gold and XP. Gold is freeplay and only used to play the social poker games. They have no value. Despite the small welcome bonus of 1,000 Gold, I never felt like my balance was low. Especially with the 250 Gold video bonus which I just used repeatedly.
XP is the premium currency that can be redeemed for cash prizes once you have a balance of 5,000 XP. As far as I could see, you can’t play any of the social poker games using your XP which differs from sweepstakes casinos that usually have an SC game mode. I think that does make it a little harder to collect XP, but the daily login bonus gives you a decent chunk, and the referral bonus has excellent potential too as you can get 10,000 XP per referral.
I hope you have found this PlaySopo review useful and can tell how much I enjoyed using the app. The social poker gameplay is amazing and I found myself playing round after round and really getting into the strategy of the game. This is made easier to enjoy by the quality of the mobile app and the availability of Gold and XP. If you want to give it a try, get started with the app and who knows, we might meet each other at one of the social poker tables!
