The disruptions at Yotta have left a lot of users confused and unsure what to do next. With regular updates from Yotta and the other companies involved, here’s what we know so far and what steps you can take.
What has actually happened?
Yotta uses a company called Synapse Brokerage for all their ACH processes. This company is a middle-man between Yotta and the banks which hold the funds. Unfortunately, with the bankruptcy of Synapse Brokerage, the system has somewhat broken down, with no ACH process to enable the banks to release the funds back to the Yotta users. This has created a situation in which most users cannot perform transactions or withdraw their funds via Yotta.
Yotta are working around the clock to try and resolve the situation and get their regular services back online.
So, what to do now?

How to close your Yotta account
When your account is empty, you’ve made all the necessary withdrawals
(do not close your account as soon as you’ve put the withdrawal request in, as it is currently not available)
and have transferred all direct debits. Simply follow these steps to close your account:
- Go to your account tab
- Click the gear icon
- Select account information
- Scroll down and tap “Close Account”
