Hey there, I'm Alex.

From the moment I laid my hands on that iconic PlayStation 2 controller, gaming became more than just a hobby—it became a passion that would shape much of my childhood and adulthood. As I grew older, my love for gaming evolved, expanding beyond consoles to include the thrill of slots and other real-money iGaming experiences. It's funny how something as simple as pressing buttons on a controller can lead to such profound experiences and connections. 

Growing up in an expatriate family, I've had the privilege of calling many places around the world home. From Switzerland to Australia, Stopping through Kenya, South Africa and New Caledonia along the way. I spent my younger years bouncing around countries every 2-3 years and learning to embrace and become a part of many cultures. As far as languages go, I am fluent in 6 languages: English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian and German. During my time in Kenya I even picked up some Swahili, though I can hardly say that I am fluent. Travelling and experiencing all these cultures shaped me into the open-minded individual I am today, instilling in me a deep appreciation for diversity in all its forms.

That appreciation only deepened during my time at Arizona State University, where I pursued a degree in Marketing alongside a minor in Diversity and Equity Studies. It was there that I realized that diversity extends far beyond surface-level differences. It encompasses the rich tapestry of unique backgrounds, perspectives, and lived experiences that each individual brings to the table. It's about recognizing and embracing the multifaceted identities that make us who we are—whether it's our cultural heritage, socioeconomic background, or personal beliefs.

And so, armed with a passion for gaming and a commitment to diversity, I set out to make esports more inclusive and representative of marginalised groups. That's when I founded GameChampions—a platform dedicated to creating a more inclusive space for esports enthusiasts from all walks of life. Through GameChampions, I've had the privilege of bringing together gamers from every corner of the globe, united by their love for competition, camaraderie, and, of course, gaming. Having travelled throughout the world, along the way, I've opened accounts in nearly every online casino/gaming platform imaginable, including some that are now extinct. The thrill of winning big and the sting of losing big have been constant companions on this wild ride.
